WCOB has options for both players developing and premier soccer players.

Players still developing their skills will have the opportunity to play in YSSL.

Premier players will compete under the SC Wave umbrella.  SC Wave is a MLS Next club based out of Wisconsin.  A player will have the opportunity to compete at all levels within the MLS Next tier structure.

  • Elite Academy League 'EAL'

  • National Academy League 'NAL'

  • MLS Next Tier 2

  • MLS Next Tier 1

WCOB is one of the only clubs in the area to have this full pathway available to its players.

The organizational structure of the tiers are as follows:

MLS Next Tier 1 & Tier 2 will be managed by SC Wave in Wisconsin.  There are two options when you are selected to play on a MLS Next team.  Play as a part-time or full-time player. The difference between the two are:

  • Part-time (Future) players play less than 12 games in the MLS Next platform.  A player is required to travel and train with the team once a week. The player can train with WCOB the other days of the week.  The player can also compete in EAL & NAL.

  • Full-time players play more than 12 games in the MLS Next platform. A player is required to travel and train with the team twice a week.  The player can train with WCOB F.C. the other days of the week.  A player cannot compete in EAL or NAL once the player reaches 12 games.

National Academy League "NAL" will be managed by SC Wave Titletown in Wisconsin.  Players will be selected by the coaches to receive extra games and compete in EAL games.  The player will train full time with WCOB.  A player fee may be added for the additional games.  Home games will be located in Wisconsin.

Elite Academy League "EAL" will be managed by SC Wave WCOB. All premier WCOB players will have priority to play in this league.  The player will train full time with WCOB. If a team does not have a full roster, players from Titletown will compete with the team.  Home games will be located in Oak Brook.

A premier player may also have opportunities to play Mid West Conference as well as NPL.

2010 Presidents Cup Champions

National Champions! Our U14 boys had an incredible summer earning championship titles in the Illinois, Regional, and National Presidents Cup. We are so proud of their perseverance and dedication – winning over 10 games against some of the best teams in the country. Miguel Maldonado and Samuel Bumgarner were named Best XI by US Youth Soccer for their performance. Congratulations to all players and head coach Chris Karabatsis for such an accomplishment.
